Alfred M. Kalman

Alfred M. Kalman, MD is a fellowship-trained hematologist-oncologist with deep experience in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of blood diseases and cancers such as iron-deficiency anemia, hemophilia, sickle-cell disease, leukemia, and lymphoma.

With a distinguished career spanning many decades in the medical field, Dr. Kalman has served as Assistant Professor of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Miami School of Medicine and Nova Southeastern University School of Medicine, and as  Medical Staff President at University Community Hospital in Tamarac, FL.

Dr. Kalman graduated from Brooklyn College, NY with a BA in Biology. He went on to obtain his medical degree at State University of New York, Downstate College of Medicine, Brooklyn, NY before completing a residency at University of Miami, FL, followed by fellowship training in Hematology and Medical Oncology as well as Internal Medicine.

With a strong background in research and clinical trials, Dr. Kalman's special clinical interests include benign hematology and malignant hematology and oncology.

He is on staff at several local hospitals, including Broward Health Coral Springs, University Hospital and Medical Center, Florida Medical Center, and Northwest Medical Center.
