David J. Crompton
Overview
David Crompton, MD completed residency at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, where he served as Chief Resident during the 2025-2026 academic year. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Iowa, graduating summa cum laude, and subsequently obtained his medical degree from the Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, graduating with highest honors.
Dr. Crompton has extensive experience in advanced radiation techniques, including stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), and 3D conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT). His clinical focus centers on delivering highly precise radiation therapy treatments designed to optimize patient outcomes while minimizing toxicity.
Dr. Crompton has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and has been featured in national journals. He also serves as an abstract reviewer for the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society.
