Taking great pride in the delivery of comprehensive and compassionate care to each of his patients, Dr. Henry Shapiro has practiced as a Hematologist Oncologist in the Jupiter area for more than forty years. During this time, he has developed close working relationships with a team of experienced, multi-specialty physicians in the area to ensure coordinated and collaborative patient care for the best possible treatment outcomes.

With a specific interest in personalized care for lung cancer, gastrointestinal tract tumors, urogenital malignancies, melanoma and hematologic disorders, Dr. Shapiro utilizes cutting edge immunotherapy and targeted therapy, and incorporates genetic/molecular sequencing to determine treatment modalities. 

Dr. Shapiro’s interest in hematologic disorders stems from the guidance of his mentor, the late Dr. William J. Harrington—a renowned hematologist at the University of Miami, FL. Instrumental in the development of the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Jupiter Medical Center, Dr. Shapiro was its first Oncology Medical Director and continues to be one of the more senior members of its medical staff. Conveniently located on Central Boulevard in Jupiter, Dr. Shapiro’s office offers infusional chemotherapy and diagnostic testing.
