At SMS - Head & Neck Surgical Oncology, our practice focuses on treating both benign (non-cancerous) and malignant (cancerous) issues of the head and neck. Our otolaryngologist (head and neck surgeon), Scott Larson, MD, is board certified and an expert in the surgical management of all head and neck conditions. He performs a wide range of surgeries to manage head and neck issues, biopsy areas of concern and remove tumors. He also specializes in reconstructive surgery of the head and neck. Dr. Larson was the first surgeon to perform transoral robotic surgery (TORS) using the da Vinci SP system. This procedure is a minimally invasive procedure to remove cancer from the back of the throat.
