Matthew Johnson
Overview
Dr. Matthew Johnson is a board-certified General and Acute Care Surgeon with extensive experience in general surgery, trauma, and advanced minimally invasive techniques. Originally from Houston, Texas, Dr. Johnson is a proud University of Texas at Austin graduate, earning his undergraduate degree in 2000.
He completed his residency and fellowship training in Las Vegas, where he developed expertise in robotic surgery, surgical endoscopy, and ERCP. Following fellowship, Dr. Johnson practiced in Las Vegas for five years before relocating to Fort Walton Beach, Florida. There, he served as an Acute Care Surgeon and Trauma Medical Director at HCA Florida Fort Walton- Destin Hospital.
Dr. Johnson actively practices robotic surgery, general surgery, trauma and acute care surgery, and surgical endoscopy. He is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and is known for his commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered surgical care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Johnson enjoys sport fishing and golf. He values his family life and resides with his wife, Nicole, and their daughters Teagan & Makaira.
He is well respected by his colleagues and is committed to delivering the best possible outcomes for his patients.
